Adult Assessments

We offer diagnostic assessments to answer specific referral questions and to address your individuals goals and needs. Depending on the complexity of the referral, 1-2 sessions face-to-face may be required.

Assessments with adults typically include a 1-hour initial consultation, 1 to 2 sessions of standardised testing/interview, and a 1-hour feedback consultation.

We offer diagnostic assessments for referral of:

  • Autism and ADHD
  • Learning differences (e.g. Specific Learning disorders, dyslexia, dyscalculia etc)
  • Cognitive functioning (i.e. low cognitive ability, high IQ potential)
  • Adaptive functioning / Comprehensive Needs
  • NDIS Review Assessments

Initial consultation and feedback are typically completed via telehealth and testing/observation sessions in clinic for Cognitive and Learning Assessments. However, assessment of Autism, ADHD and/or Comprehensive Needs can be offered over telehealth were required.

How We Work

Initial Consult

A 1-hour initial consultation conducted via Telehealth. This it to allow you the opportunity to confidentially discuss your goals for assessment and for us to gain a thorough insight into your presenting concerns. During this consultation we will collaboratively discuss the next steps most appropriate to your presenting concerns.

Assessment Period

Psychometric assessments to be completed will be provided to give us insight into your traits. Some of these questionnaires will be for yourself to complete and others will be for your chosen family, partner or friends to complete.

There will also be 1-2 assessment appointments for interview and standardised testing (if indicated based on your referral question).

Feedback

This typically occurs a minimum of 3-4 weeks post assessment period. This consult involves us providing you with your assessment results and diagnostic report. We will discuss ongoing recommendations and opportunity will be provided for you to ask any questions.
